*These funds helped Federation’s overseas partner agencies provide food and shelter to displaced Israelis and respite care for 23,000 children in the southern Negev, including children from the Federation partner communities of Ofakim/Merchavim and Kibbutz Erez.



MetroWest Tomorrow

As of June 2013, total commitments to Metro West Tomorrow, which helps secure existing programs and funds cutting-edge initiatives, eclipsed the $100 million mark, surpassing the original overall goal for the campaign.

Included is a new $5 million commitment by the Paula and Jerry Gottesman Family Supporting Foundation to endow the operations of the Greater MetroWest Jewish Camp Enterprise.  This is the largest endowment created (to date) for Jewish camping in North America and will ensure that generations of local children attend overnight Jewish camps.

The Ness Fund

The Ness Fund, which supports economic development in the Negev region of Israel with an emphasis on younger populations.

The Greater MetroWest Day School Campaign

The Greater MetroWest Day School Campaign, a national model in enhancing academic excellence and affordability at Jewish day schools. Included is the “The Quest for Teaching Excellence,” a four-year, million dollar investment in teaching professional development in Jewish day schools.

Greater MetroWest Jewish Camp Enterprise

The Greater MetroWest Jewish Camp Enterprise (part of One Happy Camper NJ), which works to build positive experiences and a strong Jewish identity through Jewish overnight camp.

Birthright Israel

The nation’s first-ever endowed Birthright Israel bus, which virtually ensures that young people (ages 18-26) from our community can experience this free 10-day trip to Israel.

 PJ Library

Funding for PJ Library, a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, which sends Jewish books and music to children (under age 8), and is managed by The Partnership for Jewish Learning and Life.
