Efficient. Tax-wise. Charitable. These words are often used to describe community foundations like the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ (JCF), the largest community foundation in New Jersey.

These ideals form our backbone, but JCF is also unique in a very important way. We are the JEWISH Community Foundation, and that one simple word, JEWISH, gives greater responsibility, muscle, vision, and weight to our work with donors, families, agencies, and our partners throughout the community. We have a rich and long history to sustain and secure. The ‘Jewish’ in our name allows us to dream about making Jewish education, camp, Israeli travel, and the panoply of Jewish experiences affordable for everyone.  It empowers us to dream about a world where future generations are more secure than previous ones, and therefore able to build an even stronger, more vibrant Jewish community. The word Jewish brings immense strength to the partnerships we forge with visionary philanthropists of all types and backgrounds throughout the Greater MetroWest community.

We listen and dream with our donors. Together we work to match community priorities with your passions, values, and ideas. The immense resources within our community can give life to dreams in the most impactful and meaningful ways. And best of all, we work with anyone willing to dream with us. We know everyone can be a philanthropist; anyone can make an impact for generations to come.  

That is one of the many reasons that I joined JCF as executive director in September. We are so much more than a “tax-wise” or “efficient” way to give money to charity. JCF donors have long been leaders in making the “big idea” happen, and being part of that makes every day exciting. I look forward to meeting you in the coming months as we dream and achieve great things.
